Play What You Mean, Mean What You Play Volume 1
Tomo is still the best improvisation I have heard in my entire life
que caña
Good tomo playing. He put more accentuation on em chords self
See… we can all just get along 😎
This is the best live version that I have heard on YT. 22:06 MS is on fire:)
Tomo is incredible.
The guy with the strat is so good !
TOMO 👏🏻
It's a lesson in how to transform a fantastic song into something really boring. Hendrix was going to die of boredom... The guys were so worried about showing off their virtuosity that they forgot the main thing, the music.
Frikin savages! 🙌🏾🔥
masterclass
It's probably the best improvisation session that I've heard despite spending my life on RUclips... it's lunar... they are real guitar geniuses.
Just wow! This touched my soul I have the chills RIGHT NOW!!! Eric Gales, Tomo-san ARE BOTH GUITAR LEGENDS.
Now that’s soul… 😭
Beautiful Angel, 😇
second solo Tomo!!!! OMG !!!!
Erics choice is beauty to my ears, please let him play ..
Tomo, so much finesse in everythjng he plays… ありがとう、先生
holy crap to me this video is the definition of finger tone, they are all using somewhat similar gear but what the hell is going on when eric is playing??? his tone is very different, bold and defined, it's beautifull how he can make that guitar talk and sing
I love Phil X , But between his band and this one, I haven't heard so many people Butcher Jimi's song "Little Wing" in my life. If you want to hear a GREAT RENDITION of it...Go Listen to Steve Vai...Live at Astoria London and listen to something that would have made the hair on Jimi's arms stand up and gave him the chills , as it did me..
Eric gales’ playing is hard to copy. He’s just in his own world😅 such a talented guitarist. Always has his own interpretation to any musical piece.
Who on the drums?
Can;t remember his name, but he was Schofield’s drummer for many years. He’s excellent. Check out the studio cut of ‘Live Wire’
These guys might be good musicians but they are ruining this classic,, they just trying to do to much,
No matter how knowledgable you are, imitations are nothing but imitations. Because there is no soul. Get rid of everything you don't understand.
A three hour concert in 25 minutes. 3 incredible guitarists each bringing their own wondrous thing. A priceless treasure. Thanks one and all!!!
LEGEND ❤living LEGEND EG
All dem muthafuckas are bad to the bone !!!!!😅
👍💙🙏🏼🇹🇷🌹🧿…+1.~
トモ藤田がいかにカッコ悪いか、この動画は分かりやすい(笑) これ見てもトモ藤田万歳の方は、もうお疲れさんとしか言いようがないですね(笑) 本物のミュージシャンと下手くそ講師の違いです。
back when Tomo got his earing on keke
2:47 MAGIC BEGINS
Tomo is playing big strings the other two are playing guitars set up for speed.its kinda like different instruments all 3 are monsters.
Tomo's solos 2:50 12:38
Joe bonamasa should be there
Amazing performance by all. Can’t get enough of Matt’s tone at 14:40 and after
9:48 Beautiful.........
Superb ! Super profesioniști .
Great performance byt the guitars, they could have showed the bass player at least once tho.
This is 👉 WOW!!!!…its like: Hey Eric, what the hell are you doing?!…the riffs that eric mastered is an alien kind.
There's a distinctive neo-soul vibe about Gales playing that's probably a combination of Hendrix’s ‘Electric Church’ sonic vision-experience and D’ Angelo's super sinewy sexy funked-up confections or confunktions. It is a beautiful thing to behold one genius's creation so thoroughly continued and inoculated with the life force. It's like a master architect passed away halfway through the realization of a massive cathedral, with the ‘blues-prints,’ masterplan only housed up in his beautiful mind. With his passing, they were entombed until another capable and worthy stone mason comes along and builds out the Spanish Castle Cathedral with the rarest of radiant materials. It's nothing short of a miracle we are listening to. It's lightning in a mason jar. But for the sake of perspective, the JH Experience that musical unit was an ensemble perfectly fitted for the original master-blaster. These two crazy cats Mitchell and Redding are also not duplicatable and they massively contributed to the Spanish castle magic, eh? Every performance was fresh and newly improvised. JH built an ensemble of virtuosos who could free him up to do what he pleased. Let's also remember the history that JH embodies. He had to ‘make it in Europe before he could be recognized stateside. And boy did he pay dues. How he was the mythical Prometheus of rock industry corruption,(which arguably was his undoing.) Before JH there was less fire, less spectacle. Also, not sure how jazzy JH would have become. I'm not so sure he was a big jazz guy at all. Rhythmically, the syncopations, yes. Yeah, there is allowedly some Wes Montgomery octave stuff in full effect. But min7 flat five chords not so much. Leave the augmented chords to Lennon and the diminished to George Harrison. It was strictly Robert Zimmerman for Joe Hendrix’s son. Boy did he LOVE his Dylan. For sure, he may have done an album or two with Bobby Dylan and the soundtrack to several animation science fiction films. For sure. But jazz harmonically, not so sure. Maybe a live record with James Blood Ulmer. Wasn't there a mystery jam with Miles or something? Maybe an album with Miles and Prince. Not sure about a lot of the jazz stuff. With the blues, there was enough expression there. Clearly the whole ‘wild man from Borneo,’ circus act crushed his soul. When he sacrifices guitars it's not a random thing either. It's more than stage craft. It is religion at it's best. And he is singular and there will never be another artist as pure as JH. But the crowds and promoters expected and demanded him to do that all the time. With the criminal amounts that he was deservedly pulling down for live gigs I'm sure he must have felt an obligation. And he was an introvert until he got on stage. So, comparisons aside, let’s keep with the record and appreciate that before making the bold comparisons. Let us also keep in mind JH in the studio. That in and of itself is a few chapters in the manual. JH embodies a whole cosmology in the book of rock history. Truly though EG like JH is a ‘break the mold,’ type of occurrence. But let's always remember who constructed the original cathedral before we get too carried away with comparisons. JH is like the Pacific ocean. There can only ever always be one.
Fucking sick
leo fender turn in his grave. all fender knockoffs?

that mug is bad..I love EG ..It always seen to me he back on that red rider but his girl got him and that would be back towards the elvis prestley bld or north bellvevue shit from Lamar or dixie..anyway you go he is bad and his neon and kingfih follow and got him just like I do..waiting for him to introduce me to sam though she can sing like a church going janitor. ok feel it?
